Frequently Asked Questions
Planning your wedding should feel exciting — not overwhelming. Whether you are just starting out or halfway through your checklist, it is completely normal to have questions. Here are some of the most common things couples ask when we first chat.
If you do not see your question here, please feel free to get in touch — I am always happy to help.
1. What does a wedding planner actually do?
Think of me as your go-to guide for all things wedding. From timelines and budgets to supplier sourcing, design, and on-the-day coordination — I handle the logistics so you can focus on enjoying the moments that matter most (See More).
2. My venue has a coordinator — do I still need a planner?
Venue coordinators are fantastic, but their focus is the venue. I work for YOU. I oversee the entire celebration, from the big-picture planning to the smallest details, ensuring everything comes together beautifully — wherever your ceremony and reception take place (See More).
3. What areas do you cover?
I am based in Cheshire and work across the North West — including Manchester, the Wirral, Shropshire, the Lake District, Staffordshire, and surrounding areas. I am also happy to travel further afield by arrangement.
4. Do you work with specific venues or suppliers?
No — I am completely independent. I will help you build your own dream team based on your style, budget, and priorities. I only recommend suppliers I trust and who are a great fit for you.
5. Can I hire you if I have already started planning?
Absolutely. Whether you are halfway through or just need help bringing it all together at the end, I offer flexible packages including Partial Planning and Month-Of Coordination.
6. How far in advance should we book you?
For full planning, booking 12 to 18 months in advance is ideal — but I also work with shorter timelines depending on availability. If you are considering planning support, I encourage you to get in touch as soon as you can.
7. Do you only plan large weddings?
Not at all. I plan everything from intimate gatherings and micro-weddings to large, showstopping celebrations. No matter the size, the goal is always the same — a day that truly reflects you as a couple.
8. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Weddings are a significant investment, and I want the process to feel manageable — not stressful. I offer flexible payment options tailored to your chosen package.
9. Will I still have control over the planning?
Always. This is your wedding — I am here to guide, support, and take the pressure off. You will be involved in all the decisions that matter to you, without the overwhelm.
10. What happens on the wedding day itself?
I will be there, calm and prepared, coordinating suppliers, keeping everything on schedule, and managing any unexpected issues — so you can relax and fully enjoy your day.
11. Do you charge travel or accommodation fees?
For weddings that take place beyond a certain distance from Cheshire, I may charge a small travel or overnight accommodation fee. This will always be discussed clearly in advance.
